Kerry Ingredients (the formally Nibb-it company) will close its factory at Breda. All 50 employees lose their job. The nutrition manufacturer of amongst others snacks and convenience products has decided to close the factory because the annual loss is a half million euro.

The market for dried vegetables is decreasing according to the management. Also the company could not make a profit on meat products. Increasing energy costs were the final stroke for the company and the management sees no other solution then to close it down.

Over two years ago the company reorganised. At that time 47 of the 111 jobs were lost. Kerry, that dries vegetables and meat which it delivers to soup and sauces manufacturers experienced heavily competition of Asian companies and changing customer needs.
