Nowadays new staff is mainly recruited by one of the many career websites. This according to the results of the E-Recruitment Monitor 2007 of Totaljobs.nl. For this research over 1,100 HR officers were questioned.

In the Netherlands almost 80 percent of all vacancies are on the internet. 51 percent of the companies says to use the internet to recruit new staff. Smaller organisations make less use of the internet to find new employees.

The HR officers expect to spend more money to online recruitment in 2007, this according to over a quarter of the questioned HR officers. One third states that they already have risen the budget for online recruitment. It shows a trend that the importance of online recruitment will increase. One of the large benefits for this form of recruitment is that results are very measurable.
