19-03-2007 - Dutch employee takes pleasure in job

Almost all Dutch employees (97%) takes pleasure in their job. In our neighbouring countries this is different. In Belgium only 61% goes to their work with pleasure and of the French this is 71%.

 

The Dutch also say to be loyal towards their colleagues. Bullying and discrimination are less common in Dutch organisations. This according to a research of the Belgium ZebraZone that was published last Thursday. The research compared the Netherlands, Belgium and France with each other. 2,060 Dutch employees were questioned.

 

In our country almost 8 out of 10 employees work in a team, in which everyone participates, nobody dominates and the management is respected. Among the French employees this counts for almost 70% of the employees and with the Belgium employees only 50%.

 

Of the Dutch respondents 1.5% says to be the victim of bullying at work in the last year. Compared to Belgium and France, almost 1 out of 10 respondents says the same. In the Netherlands 2.1% employees says to be the victim of discrimination, in Belgium this is 8.8% and in France 5.4%.
