In the last six months is the number of unemployed decreased with 5,000 people on average per month.

In the period June till August on average 345,000 people were unemployed. That is 4.4% of the labour force. This according to the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek. Last year 5.3% of the labour force was unemployed in this period.

In only one year the number of unemployed males decreased with 37,000 to 151,000 people. For females the number decreased with 22,000 to 190,000. The percentage of women in the working labour force is increasing, according to the numbers.
