30-11-2007 - Candover takes over Stork
The British investor Candover takes over Stork. After this take-over the division Food Systems will be sold to the Icelandic large shareholder Marel. The sale of this unit, that manufacturers machinery for the food processing industry, is about 415 million euro. This was announced by Candover and Stork.
In the last two years Marel has several times shown interest in the acquisition of Food Systems.
Jan Kalff, president of the board of Stork, is pleased: “Shareholders get a fair price. Food Systems can look forward to a bright future at Marel, where as Candover will bring Stork to its next phase,” he announced to ANP.
