Friesland Foods, known from Friesche Vlag and Dubbel Frisss, is having exploratory merger conversations with dairy concern Campina. This was announced by both organizations last Wednesday. The two organizations are investigating the possible effects of a potential merger.

By combining their forces Friesland Foods and Campina want to get a stronger position on the international dairy market. The enterprises can jointly give a better reaction to the expanding liberalization, the strong fluctuating world market for dairy products, increasing competition and worldwide increasing consumption.
