The new MBO study Food, Health & Innovation will not start this college year. The schools are planning to start this new study in the college year 2009-2010.
“We made the decision to start with is new study at a late stage,” explains Josetta Nanne, pr and communication of the Regio College, the decision. “Because of this many education activities were already pasted.”
In total five students applied for this study. That is too little to start the study, the study would start when there were twelve students. According to Nanne there was enough interest in the study: “During the open houses people really liked the study, but many already decided what they wanted to study.”
The study is an initiative of the Regio College and the Clusius College and would be located in Zaandam and Alkmaar. The curriculum of the study is drafted up in collaboration with thirty food companies in the Zaanstreek, united in the foundation Zaanstreek First in Food.
Both schools will continue to promote the education.
