Our Services and Systems project teams work together with our customers in joint research and development projects in the area of catalysis. Avantium has developed unique laboratory equipment to prepare and test catalysts in parallel on a very small scale. Avantium Chemicals is also developing technology to produce green building blocks for materials and fuels, called YXY. This novel technology converts carbohydrates directly into furanics. YXY can replace oil as the raw material for the production of fuels, car parts, clothing, carpets, water bottles and a wide range of plastics. | |
