| RIKILT - Institute of Food Safety (with a total staff of 200) is an independent non-profit institute conducting research in the field of safe and healthy food and feed. We carry out top-quality research into the detection, identification, functionality and effects of substances in animal feed and various foodstuffs, and the interactions of these substances within the food chain. We also support governmental authorities with risk assessment, advice and training, and carry out legislative and policy-supporting tasks for the Dutch government and international bodies, including the EC. | |
| Bedrijfsactiviteiten RIKILT has high-quality testing facilities and its strength lies in the versatility of its expertise and equipment - the synergy of immunochemistry, analytical chemistry, toxicology, risk-assessment, modeling, microbiology, microscopy, bionanotechnology and X-omics. This combined know-how is applied for statutory research tasks, method development and fundamental strategic research. There are two Business Units: Analytical Services & Development and Safety & Health. The institute is a National Reference Laboratory (NRL) as well. Its tasks are to coordinate the activities of national laboratories responsible for analysing samples, standardise methods of analyses, develop new methods and organize comparative tests between the official national laboratories. | |

| We are looking for scientists and technicians with an analytical-chemical or biological education and background. We ask knowledge and experience with GC-MS and LC-MS facilities, preferably for analysing (animal) feed. Candidates should have affinity with computer work, and should be energetic, driven, and inventive. In addition you are a customer-friendly team player. | |
